For this week’s Sunday Chuckle, it started with an enthusiastic Facebook post from me that “Gypsy Road” by Cinderella was now playing on the radio. That generated two responses including this one from Uncle Meat:
You just learned a new term. “Ear fuckies” — the sensation of having Tom Keifer screamin’ in your ear!
Haha ear fuckies. Nice one!

That’s my dear sweet Meat. Outright refuses to be conventional and I love him for it!

Hmm ..
Korn
Warrant
Hootie and the Blowfish
Donald Trump
But Florida Georgia Line will date rape your ear hole. Dont trust those cheese mongers

I would have guessed the definition to go another way!

I loved Cinderella, they were just hilarious looking. If they had passed me on the street I’d have just fallen over laughing and pointing at them.

I had a buddy who liked a song he heard, so he bought the latest Cinderalla, which was Heartbreak Station at the time. They looked normal for the time – long hair guys in cowboy hats.
THEN he found Night Songs at the store! He couldn’t believe the guys on the cover of THAT album were the same four guys!

I know! I saw them on the Heartbreak tour and they looked disappointingly normal. I preferred it when they looked more like Steel Panther.

I saw them on the same tour. They were great, but I their hair was so disappointing.

Sold out their stock in Vidal Sassoon, anyway.

They did a great cover of Brown Sugar for an encore, I remember.

No covers at my show. They did the long intro to Gypsy Road though which was cool. I saw the Quireboys around that time and they DID play a Stones cover but damned if I remember which one.

To be fair most of their tracks sounded like the faces covering the Stones anyway.

Via Aerosmith?

Were they good live? I never managed to see them.

The Quireboys? Yeah man they were awesome, playing on this teeny tiny stage, six guy! Spike was swinging his mic stand around, I don’t know how he didn’t kill somebody with it. They were really rough and raw.

Do you remember that old urban myth that Steven Tyler was actually Mick Jagger’s son?

No, not at all – that would just be far too neat!

I remember hearing that one in 89-90, when I was working at a grocery store. Around Pump. One of the cashier girls was absolutely certain. I didn’t even know what to say.
