I found this crate, pictured below, at work amongst a pile of old tools. I thought I worked in a steel mill?! What the heck kind of work do we do around here anyway?!
Well, we refer to the process is punching, sometimes piercing, and never “body piercing”. I’ve never seen that phrase at work before! Even at the steel mill, it’s an oddity of a label.
Did you get to the bottom of it? What is it?

Yes I know what it is, it’s a die for punching steel beams. But the wording on the crate was too funny to ignore.

I may be the odd man out here, but earrings and piercings weren’t the first thing I thought of when I saw that crate label.

I like to think it’s the box for some kind of robot. The Body Piercing Unit TX1200. Not the latest model, so now it’s used to lift steel beams.
