Ziggy Lorenc usually hosted soft rock on MuchMusic, but this time she got to talk to Dave Fortman and Whitfield Crane of Ugly Kid Joe! The guys discuss the video for their hit “Neighbor” and the memorable back cover of the America’s Least Wanted CD.

UKJ were cool guys. They blew Slaughter off the stage when UKJ was the first band opening for OZZY back in July/1992…
I still remember them playing Neighbour and just wanting to hear the new album than..haha
Loved Mr Recordman..great track

Seems Ziggy was struggling a bit to keep them on topic but they’re funny guys.
I have a live Slaughter TV performance…not sure about the legalities of posting that stuff… but I’ll give it a shot and see how it goes.

This day and age they could use the free press..

Do they still exist as a band? I burned out on Mark’s vocals by the mid-90s.

I think so…I’m with you on the vocals…Live was more nuts to the point of driving me out to the merch table to buy my Ozzy Shirt

I found Ozzy too, live on a Halloween special doing No More Tears. Meat says I should post it.
I KNOW I have Slaughter with Dan Gallagher wandering around Toronto, if I can find the tape from 89-90.

Oh you didn’t miss anything, I just posted it. I’m firing these things out quickly. If I don’t it’ll be weeks to get them all out.

Sorry I meant I missed it when it was originally aired..

Oh gotcha! Yeah and I may have more from the same interview session on another tape. They liked to split them up and air them separately rather than as one.

Wow, not Ziggy’s best work by a long shot, lol.

Definitely not. The band were too goofy for her to control!
