Happy 4th of July to my American friends and neighbours!
Apologies for the awful quality this time. Perhaps due to an overheating device, perhaps because of the whims of the Facebook gods, I could not keep a good stream going. It’s worth enduring the video for the awesome lists. Uncle Meat and I counted down the Nigel Tufnel Top Ten Ballads, with six lists submitted by:
- Harrison the Mad Metal Man
- Darr
- Len Labelle
- Holen
- Myself
- The Meatmaster General
Dozens of songs from multiple genres. A couple lists planted firmly in rock. Enjoy the ballads!
To skip straight to the countdown, start at 0:22:00 of the stream.
Right after I said the video feed was improved it started bloody playing up again. Made me look like a right fool

Can’t believe Mike’s never heard this song…

The nice thing about “never” is that it is not forever, because I have now heard that song!

It was a top ten hit in the States #8. They played the video on MTV a lot, I guess you Canadians didn’t like it!

I figured out the problem. The phone wasn’t actually connected to wifi, it was trying to connect all that time.

I can believe you haven’t heard this one, but remedy that!

For the record Meat, I like Perry Farrell. I was just giving him a hard time. The first three Jane’s albums are classic.

So was it Martians of foreign government messing with the feed? No Goldilox on the list. I have that Eric Martin st album. I’m missing Mr Vocalist stuff. Don’t think they were ever released here. For me the late Purple album I remember listening a lot was Bananas. It was a summer album for me. Just kept playing it.

I figured out the phone issue, so next week it’ll be a different set of problems. LOL
Next week Deke will be back as co-host!

Crud. Forgot Priest’s “Here Come The Tears”. That would have been really high on my list
