Is it possible to say everything that you have to say about music in a 10 year period?
That’s where I am right now. That’s how I feel. I feel like anything I say now is just a repeat of things already said. Whether writing a review or a Record Store Tale. Things are tasting…stale.

My site lasted about a month, so you did better than me! When people say ten years ago I’m still thinking of like 2005-2006. 2012 being ten years ago is crazy.
That being said, I hope you find the love and motivation again for the reviews and Record Store Tales, for all of our sake since we love reading your stuff. If you do really feel it’s time to retire, I think I speak for everyone when I say that we want you to be happy, and you had a fantastic run. You brought so many of us together. I know you did say you’d be interested in writing fiction on this site, and I’m certain we’d all be on board for that.
P.S. You and Harrison are the best friends I’ve never met. I’d include you too, John T. Dreyfuss, but I’m a little intimidated by your star status.

Unfortunately I’m just out of gas. I’d like to be able to finish the Def Lep series. I haven’t touched it in a couple months. So I don’t know.
I’m not sure what the future holds but the current status quo is not sustainable.

I really hope you’re wrong but right now, that’s what I am afraid of. Yeah. I don’t plan on stop being creative, and this site IS a source of income, so I won’t be going away exactly. I just won’t be spending 2 hours every night slaving over a hot keyboard. I want to continue to post, but the content will not be 2000 words.

Brother, I feel your ennui. Have been pondering Vinyl Connection in the same way. But then I saw your image in the WP Reader and went Wow! One of my all time favourite albums! Go Mike!
I reckon that sometimes we are sending each other postcards and other times epistles, and that’s OK. Unhooking from the internal posting timetable helps too (though I’ve not yet managed that!).

I’m going to miss your album reviews and record store tales, but I hope you find what makes you happy and go with that, Mike! If you choose to go back to writing about music one day, then that’s great. If you don’t go back to writing about music, then that’s fine too! Just do you!

I think it’s going to take some time to figure out where I want to go.
One thing I am enjoying is making short video messages for friends. I think short videos (1 minute) is where I’m headed. Just talking about what’s up. I do want to finish the Leppard project though. Finish that up. Post the last few reviews I wrote.
