This is exciting news. Will you make it until April? Remember, don’t let your expectations continue to ramp up between now and then. As unlikely as it is that they will release a sucky album, the possibility of your being disappointed with it exists. If you build it up too much, it’ll hurt that much more if it does suck.
Sounds Perfect Strangerish on speed!..kinda peaked my curiosity level…..man I do love that album, ever hear the Knebworth bootleg from 85 that’s floating around…..great stuff and worth tracking down if u haven’t …
I’m curiously excited about this considering it’s such a short clip. It actually reminds me of Shades… very vintage sounding. And I’m fairly sure I must’ve mentioned the Knebworth CD at some point. I love it!
This sounds great! I’m a huge fan and this might be the album that we have been waiting for! Bob ezrin is a great producer! And deep purple are still the best musicians of the era, and they are still making sense! That makes them the biggest act in this galaxy!
I’ll be honest Mr. xyz…every Purple album has been the album I have been waiting for! I just love this band… I think they are among the most talented musicians in rock history, and the fact that they are still making music with integrity says it all to me!
I think that’s very likely! With DP also doing their 10 “Official Live Series” releases starting this year, it might be a year chock full of DP reviews….
Yes! I even bought the In Concert 72 disc on vinyl, because the vinyl has a bonus track that wasn’t in the box set version. I’m glad to finally have the Quad mix of Machine Head.
There’s also a deluxe of Slaves and Masters coming, but I wont be buying that because I already have all the tracks (and then some more).
Wow, that’s awesome. My Dad buys the odd vinyl now and again.
My question is: is the new reissue worth getting? I already have the 40th two-disc anniversary edition, so perhaps just to have an updated version perhaps.
My honest answer is this: The two disc version is awesome and enough for most fans. The five disc, you’re getting four versions of Machine Head right there. (Original, 97 Remix, Quad, and Quad mixed down to stereo). It might be wiser to just buy the In Concert 72 on vinyl on its own.
They will play this year in my area (in Bulgaria) http://www.eventim.bg/bg/bileti/kavarna-rock-2013-kaliakra-stadium-299249/event.html I think I will be there :)

But we know it won’t, don’t we!

Two things you can count on:
1) LeBrain will buy whatever version has the most songs.
2) LeBrain will review.

I have it. I have everything they’ve ever released with the exception of one tune from a Pavarotti & Friends CD :)
I should review the Knebworth CD, because more than one person has mentioned it. I believe Every Record and HMO have both mentioned it.
I also have a box set with a couple official bootlegs from that tour.

Very vintage sounding, but with a more modern keyboard sound.
I’m hoping whatever this song is, it kicks into gear at some point…I’m sure it will.

Seems more than likely.
While we’re on the subject of DP, did you ever get the chance to listen to the reissued ‘Machine Head’ album?

No worries! I may be wrong but I think it’s possible the new one is already out of print.
