#825: Klassic Kwote – Carnival of Souls

GETTING MORE TALE #825:  Klassic Kwote – Carnival of Souls

We were encouraged to put stickers on CDs to draw attention to them at the Record Store.  When Kiss’ Carnival of Souls was released in 1997, I put a sticker on there that read “FINAL ALBUM WITH BRUCE & ERIC”.  Because why not.  Other stores did things like that.  Stickers are fun.  Bosses didn’t like my stickers, but I was the store manager and I wanted to make stickers.

A dude picked up the CD and asked me, “What does this mean?  Final album with Bruce and Eric?”

I didn’t know how to respond so I simply answered, “It’s the final album with Bruce & Eric.”

“Oh OK,” he said and put it down.

Ask a stupid question?

      1. Just wait until we have Paul Stanley’s Kiss and Gene Simmons’ Kiss and Vinnie Vincent’s Kiss and Bruce Kulick’s Kiss and (insert remaining members) Kiss all touring at the same time

        1. The Battle of the Kisses. The Ultimate Kiss Festival with all the different versions of Kiss…

…which will not happen, as they can’t agree on the money.

      1. University has moved online and while it’s a sufficient substitute for the time being, it’s definitely not my preference. As regarding other matters, the inability to see you both in person while locked down will be sadly managed the same way it is the rest of the time.

        1. Riff starts out ok. Vocals are decent, approaching good. Chorus ruins everything with acoustics stuff, crap vocals and stupid lyrics.

    1. Yeah for sure. I don’t think any of us could have predicted that! I pretty much assumed that if original Kiss reunited, they really had no choice but to stay together because fans wouldn’t accept it. Boy was I wrong.
