Check out the photo gallery below for a gander at all 19 Iron Maiden “Eddie” figures by Super7. This is their line of 3 3/4″ ReAction figures. Same size and articulation as classic Star Wars. For a little bonus content, check out the video instead. Some havoc broke loose during the photo shoot.

That’s an early reminder. Plenty of research and preparation to do then, I presume.

Oops. Not paying attention. This was meant for the Lebrain Train reminder post

Those are pretty cool. How many band’s mascots get this kind of treatment…I would say none. They have the market cornered on the coolest mascot for a band.

Iron Maiden is in my top-10 list of bands. I’ve known that they exist for almost as long as they have existed, but hadn’t actually hear anything by them until a few years ago. I quickly bought all their albums and have seen them live a couple of times.
Why did it take so long? I was (wrongly, as it turned out) put off by their goofy image, which is only slightly better than Beavis and Butthead. :-( Far from the Spinal-Tap cliché, their music is the best in metal (though I rate Nightwish about the same) and among the best overall and though the lyrics aren’t quite up to the level of Ian Anderson or Neil Peart, or even Roger Waters, they are still head and shoulders above most or all other heavy-metal bands.
Without Eddie, Iron Maiden could be the biggest band on the planet.
He was a joke which wore out his welcome and should have been retired.

Beavis and Butthead are another series of figures in the same line. Sadly no Spinal Tap yet.

Wow. I never heard anyone feel that way about Eddie.

LOL me neither. Nor did I hear Maiden ever say they wanted to be the biggest band in the world, so there’s that too.

Even though I was never a fan of them, I still loved those album covers with Eddie. Some of the best. I am getting ready to dive in to the Iron Maiden book I have and maybe I’ll start listening to them finally. And it is time for them to finally be voted in to the R&R HOF.

I just don’t fit in with the demographic of many metal fans. That is true in general. I often go to concerts of Baroque music, and am just as little part of the main demographic. I’m probably the only person in the world who bought tickets to ZZ TOP and Julia Fischer on the same day. :-)
Where I do fit in better is among fans of Pink Floyd or Jethro Tull or The Beatles or Rush (my four favourite bands right there), or Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span, and so on.

ZZ Top and Julia Fischer is a nice combo. I think the I did Doc Severinsen and the next show was Def Leppard that is probably the most extreme difference for me.

You’ve given me an idea for a new movie “Alien vs Terminator.” In the end, the Eddies come in and save the day. Think Hollywood would be interested? Love the collection.

These are pretty cool, Mike (some definitely cooler than others). My favourite is the Somewhere in Time (I think??) Eddy with the hat and jacket.

They’re all cool, but me too.

Yep! Technically that is the Stranger in a Strange Land single art. But close enough for rock and roll!
I like the clear figure. I ordered a second one of those to open.

Damn those are cool. Man, you’re gonna have to move into a warehouse to store all this stuff!

I was feeling that way here, too. But I have a sense you’ve got way more cool stuff than I do, so I wish you luck!
