What are you Top 5 Songs About Monsters? And what kind of monsters would you choose? This week on Grab A Stack of Rock, we saw zombies, werewolves, vampires, sharks, and metaphorical monsters too.
For the first time ever, Eminem made our lists…twice! With two different songs!
Peter Kerr (Rock Daydream Nation) managed to drop by for the start, to read his ground-breaking list. For this show, anyway! We read lists from John T Snow and Jex Russell, before diving into our own lists. Robert Daniels (Visions in Sound) and my trusty co-host Harrison Kopp brought the expected and unexpected alike! Perhaps with a twist.
This brisk show was a load of fun. I hope you enjoy, and get some ideas for your Halloween parties to come.
Next week: Jex, Aaron and Harrison go “LeBrainless” on Saturday at 8:00 PM!

Fun show. I managed to solve my technical problems and post live comments, Mike. I was especially intrigued by the’80’s Uriah Heep song “Night of the Wolf” (until now I only knew their ‘70’s stuff, which I learned about from Deep Purple reissue liner notes which mentioned the connection between the two bands).

You know strangely enough, I would have Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” on my list because I grew up with that song and it’s insanely catchy!

There’s a good reason Thriller made no lists. It’s about going to see a movie:
Now is the time
For you and I to cuddle close together, yeah
All through the night
I’ll save you from the terror on the screen

I do see your point. The music video is pretty iconic. It might even be more popular than the song itself. Who knows!

Personally, as I kid, I never liked the video. Too much dancing!

Well, it is Michael Jackson, so there had to be dancing. But I see your point! I was terrified of the video, but I’m not sure if I have the patience to re-watch it because of how long it is.

The one thing I hated about Michael Jackson back then: the dancing. I could give a crap about dancing. I have never wanted to see dancing, in any way. I think dancing is fun to do, just freestyle, but choreography? No, no, no, no. I do not like it, I do not want to watch it, I simply cannot stand it.

Yeah, Michael Jackson was something else, especially with that crotch thing he used to do. I don’t know why people thought that was cool. I found it disgusting. I actually was obsessed with Michael like right after he died, but I grew out of that quickly.

I don’t know a single person who thought it was cool. Just weird.

Well, he kept doing that stupid crotch move, so some people must’ve thought it looked cool, unfortunately.

Only him, probably. Who is going to say “no” to Michael Jackson?

I have an answer for who would say no to Michael Jackson. But, that’s not appropriate for a public WordPress comment section.
