VIDEO: Jex Unboxes a Stack of Rock!

Collectors: aren’t we something?  Sometimes we end up with duplicates because we can’t remember what we ordered, or own already! I promised Jex a parcel several months ago, and I finally gathered enough excess music to fill a box.

Jex was kind enough to film an unboxing video, seen below.  I sent him some review copies, some CDs from my collection that I owned in duplicate, a sticker and a special surprise from the analog age!  Now get writin’ Jex, you have work to do!

SPOILER:  Great bubble wrap popping in this video.  So satisfying.

What out of this box would you have been most excited for?  Let me know in the comments.  I think I know Harrison’s answer already.

And don’t miss Jex with Harrison and new guest PLA tomorrow on Grab A Stack of Rock!

  1. “I think I know Harrison’s answer already.”

For a second I thought you sent Jex Virtual Lights Strikes Over France. I’d probably be most excited about the Marillion, which isn’t a joke.

  2. Actually I think you’ll be a little surprised to find that my favourite of those items is actually the Gillan’s Inn. I bought 3 Gillan albums recently and you still managed to make me jealous seeing that one :)

I might also have to send Jex some of my Lego art separately as he’s not on Instagram.

  3. That’s great, Mike (& Jex)! I totally relate to that part about “…or own already.”  Funny coincidence: this week I pulled out of storage my second bunch of Gillan CD’s to rip them and was listening to my copy of “Gillan’s Inn” (a personal favorite since it was my first Ian solo purchase) when I saw your post! I don’t have the special tour edition but I did get to see the tour in person at the time in Virginia and have “Live in Anaheim” from the same period.

  4. Thanks again for sending me this massive stack of rock, Mike! Loving it, so far! The only ones I haven’t spun yet are the Gillan and the Marillion (it’s almost a shame to open that one, lol).

Polychuck review drops tomorrow morning, and you can expect a review of “Re-Masked in Tokyo” in the near future.

    Thanks again, Mike. Cheers!
