Ranking all five MAD MAX Films on Grab A Stack of Rock with Two Australians and One Canadian (Harrison Kopp, Peter Kerr & Mike Ladano)

GRAB A STACK OF ROCK With Mike and the Mad Metal Man
Episode 77:  Ranking the Mad Max Films

“Witness!  I am your redeemer. It is by my hand you will rise from the ashes of this world!”

Please welcome back to the show, Peter Kerr and Harrison Kopp from Rock Daydream Nation!  With two Australians and one Canadian, we hope this will be the most comprehensive (or, “Kopp-rehensive”) Mad Max list show on YouTube.

For the physical media crowd, Harrison promises RARITIES!

Tonight, we rank all five films in the Mad Max universe:  Mad Max, Mad Max 2 (“The Road Warrior“), Beyond Thunderdome, Fury Road, and Furiosa.  I have immersed myself in the Mad Max films, watching the first three twice each in preparation.  Expect a deep analysis and hearty appreciation with a fair share of critique.  If you think you know what will happen tonight…you don’t!

Will Peter Kerr escape the Wasteland intact?  Will Mike Ladano emerge from the Thunderdome as victor?  Will Harrison Kopp go rogue like Furiosa?  Find out tonight for an awesome show that will defy your assumptions.

Friday November 8 at 8:00 P.M. E.S.T. / 9:00 P.M. Atlantic.   Enjoy on YouTube or on Facebook!

        1. At least those Star Trek movies were in alternate universes! Also must clarify that Anya Taylor Joy is a beautiful woman despite her eyes being so widely dispersed upon a longitudinal axis.

          She’s no Joan Allen though.

        2. I only became familiar with Anya last week – watched Furiosa, and Super Mario. I think she is a talent that will be going places in the future. Maybe she should play an alien-human hybrid in a sci-fi movie!!!

  1. Sounds interesting, Mike (and Harrison + Peter). I’m not even sure how many of the films I’ve actually seen, so this will definitely be educational for me. Henry.

        1. Speaking in advance to both Peter and Harrison, I don’t think it will come last on any list, but we will see. Harrison is being…Harrison about it. He wanted to only do a list of four movies and then add in a comic book or something like that. The rest of us said “no way”. We’ll see what Harrison does tonight. He’s a cheeky cabbage.

  2. Interested in hearing you take on Furiosa movies. Hadn’t seen them yet. Only the original ones.

Is Furiosa a bit like Tank girl? Loved Tank girl comic books.

    1. No I don’t think there’s really a comparison to Tank Girl. It’s almost like Mad Max with a female protagonist. I am still working on my list! The two Furiosa-centric movies are related but also very different from each other.
