A Wednesday Off for the Contrarians: Time to catch up on these shows!

We have not had time to prepare for a show this week, so we’re taking this week off.  Planning to be back next Wednesday, live as usual.

        10. I think I watched it a month in a half ago for the umpteenth time. I sent Harrison the scuba diver shower scene and he was hilariously unamused.

The studio made him cut out Steve Tobolowski’s character because his scene had a gay kiss in it between Tobolowski and his Native American husband that the studio thought the teenage male audience was too homophobic to handle at the time. Tobolowski was supposed to be Tom Green’s uncle, and the runner of the cheese sandwich factory who gives him the job and a place to live in LA. The gay kiss was the introductory scene to the character, so Tom Green had to cut him out of the movie all together and completely restructure the film, cutting it from just under two hours to eighty something minutes.

          Tom said that the head of the studio told him the original 2 hour cut of the movie was the best first cut by a first time director he’d ever seen.

          This is as much of the boat scene that’s been released.
