We’re Gonna Groove: Led Zeppelin Lists & Guests!

The LeBrain Train:  2000 Words or More with Mike Ladano

Episode 37

In case you didn’t know, Sarah and Kevin (Caught Me Gaming and Buried On Mars respectively) just finished a massive Led Zeppelin review series.  Separately, they reviewed each Zeppelin album, from Zep I right to Coda.  They did a fantastic job of it, so with that completed, I had to have them on.  We’re going to do the Nigel Tufnel Top Ten Led Zeppelin songs, with a few bonus guest lists in the hopper as well.

“But Mike!” you say.  “I have a hard time keeping up with all those lists, and remembering how many times certain songs or albums were picked.”

You’re right; I have a hard time keeping track too.  So this time, finally, we’re bringing in Geoff from 1001albumsin10years.  Geoff is the graph master.  You give him any subject you can think of, and he’ll come back with some kind of graph.  If anyone can keep track of our Zep stats, it’s him.  I feel the countdown will be in good hands with Geoff.

Tune in tonight at 7:00 PM E.S.T.!

    1. Well Lana, I know it’s probably a missed opportunity to talk about AC/DC :( But I don’t have the album yet, I blew it on the pre-order.

I’ve been wanting to get Kevin and Sarah on as a team for several months now, and their Zep series was the perfect excuse. So in a way this one is more of a friendship show than a music one — just wanted to get my friends on here together. And that’s OK :)

      1. Oh I’m still excited for the show either way! I’m not too familiar with Zeppelin, so I’d love to take notes from the master (Sarah). I haven’t had a chance to listen to all their albums yet cause I’ve been caught up listening to the albums I currently read the reviews for. I’ll get to those Zeppelin albums one day!

I know how you feel, I ordered my ‘Power Up’ album a bit late as well and it won’t arrive for at least a couple of weeks (along with some Def Leppard CDs I ordered). Did you get the light up box? Wasn’t it expensive?

        1. Sarah and I started our Zeppelin journey at the same time — with the 1990 box set, the “orange box” as she calls it. So I wonder how different our lists will be.

I did not get the AC/DC light up box. Too expensive. $60 Canadian.

What Def Leppards did you get?

        2. Ah thats so cool you and Sarah got into Zeppelin at the same time. The more different the better.

Ah, I agree. Good call! I’ll have to wait till Kevin and John review the lightbox because I wasn’t going to pay more than $15 for a CD.

I got the Volume 2 boxset (hoping it has the demo version of “When Love and Hate Collide” with Steve’s solo), ‘High ‘n’ Dry,’ and ‘X.’ I love that album, so be prepared for my reviews on ‘X’ and ‘Adrenalize’ once I get those. All of them are CDs.
