On Friday night, I unboxed some parcels, but didn’t take a super close look at the contents. Today, we are!
From TeePublic, some stickers supporting some friends:
From author Robert Lawson, a harcopy of his acclaimed Guess Who book Wheatfield Soul:
And from the Durling Foundation, a huge box full of 8-track tapes. Not a bad haul here! In order, they are:
- ZZ Top – Tejas
- Kansas – Point of Know Return
- Eagles – The Long Run
- MECO – Star Wars Galactic Funk (yes, the legendary disco album!)
- Journey – Departure
- The Cars – The Cars
- Alice Cooper – Lace and Whiskey
- Bad Company – Bad Company
- Foreigner – Head Games
I never thought I would have an 8-track collection, but here we are.
Thank you, friends!

Ooh ‘Head Games,’ nice!

Do you have it still, Stone?

Nope. I believe I sold my 45s in a yard sale back in the early 90s. Wish I didn’t do that now!!

I did the exact same thing and have the same regrets!

Ugh! Back then I never realized the nostalgia and that I would want them years later.

I have sooo much regret for selling things.

Yup. I just believe I’ll always find new things and surprisingly I find many items again that I’ve sold or traded… at cheaper prices.

Funny that. I always end up paying MORE to replace the things I sold! But that is mostly because I worked at the record store and got them discounted.

I also sold my 8-tracks at same yard sale! I kept them stored and clean too cuz I’ve always felt grateful for my stuff even as a kid.

I don’t know what happened to ours. I know we had Beatles – I know we had Rock and Roll Music on 8 track.

I already have a few 8 tracks thanks to Geoff and Max, so this is now extra extra exciting!
